Growing a Garden is Really No Different than Growing a Business

Over the years, my husband has found a great fondness for gardening.
He’s a natural at it and has grown some beautiful vegetables to feed our growing family.
At one point, he even invested in a 20′ x 60′ greenhouse that was so meticulous you could have contacted any gardening magazine to come and do a photo shoot on the spot. The guy’s got a green thumb that amazes me and he truly enjoys the beauty of growing his own food for his family and sharing his produce with family and friends.
The picture shown above are the artichoke plants he recently started from seed. Most people would just go to the local nursery and buy the plants but Gerry isn’t like most people. He saw the advantages to growing his own plants so he invested in some books and discovered he needed to built his own propagation table, purchase the correct lighting fixtures and provide the proper amount of ventilation, water and personal care.
He did the research, purchased the supplies, built the table and followed the step-by-step instructions so he could make the most of his time and investment.
The results? Lots and lots of organic fruit and vegetables!
The reason why Gerry has been able to be so successful with his gardening is because he actually took the time to sit down and read what the experts have done to create abundance in their backyard.
He didn’t just jump in with both feet and blindly get started without gathering facts, buying the tools and the doing his homework.
Had he done so, he probably wouldn’t have yielded much fruit and he would have been very frustrated with the whole process. No doubt in my mind, he would have been a bit grouchy about the whole ordeal.
Growing a garden is really no different than growing a business.
Most people jump into MLM with the intention of making a lot of money in a relatively short period of time.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
You need to do the research, get the facts and use the right tools to plow a field that will yield a lot of fruit.
Listen, if you are in this industry and you are flat discouraged with your results, I encourage you to read the
book that shed some much welcomed light on what is really going on in this industry.

Why 97% of Network Marketers end up DEAD in the Water with a Fish in their Mouth!
Everybody knows that 97% of network marketers don’t really make a dime!
There’s an old saying and it goes like this:
“Hard work has absolutely nothing to do with progress.”
You can work as hard as you want to but if you’re moving in the WRONG direction,
you’ll end up dead in the water with a fish in your mouth!
Not pretty.
Most people HATE selling.
Most people HATE recruiting.
Most people HATE cold calls.
and
Most people HATE the fact that they spend hours upon hours each day
spinning their wheels trying to build a business online and they just
don’t have two nickels to rub together!
Sound familiar?
Yeah, I thought so.
Well, you know there are lots of people in this industry that want you to believe
that ALL you need to do is be more of YOU, think positive, visualize, be more motivated,
change your attitude, set more goals and create the hottest dream board on the block, believe in the products and create relationships with your prospects.
Add a few chants to that mix and you’ll have the real deal! NOT!
Whew, I’m exhausted already!
Look, don’t get me wrong. These things are all great but they aren’t going
to make you any real money.
But what you really need are SKILLS!
Most people want to make a lot of money and they want to do it as quickly
as possible without a lot of mess.
But without the skills, we all know you won’t be making the cash flow you desire.
Would it be okay if I pointed you in the RIGHT direction so you can spend LESS time
on your business and MORE time with your family?
Who are You Piggy Backing On?
If you’ve been in network marketing for any length of time,
it doesn’t take long to realize there are certain people
who stand out in the crowd.
I’m not referring to the people who are obnoxious about
shoving their links down your throat and demanding you
check out their newest gadget or gizmo.
I’m talking about people who add value to the industry,
place an emphasis on helping others succeed and
have such a passion and belief for this industry that
they are unstoppable.
These are the leaders in the industry who have made a name
for themselves and have risen to the top.
Did it happen overnight for them?
Absolutely…..not!
Every single one of them had their fair share of
bumps and bruises and endured through the hardships
that come with the territory.
They were all in the trenches at one time or another.
They weren’t always recognized by their name
and they weren’t always a great leader.
At one time, way back in the beginning,
they recognized the importance of piggy-backing
on someone greater than themselves.
They understood the value of having a great mentor
and pointed others to someone greater than themselves.
They also understood how important it is to plug their
downline into a proven, duplicatable system that
anyone could use to propel their business forward.
It’s not about all of us trying to re-create the wheel
and work as individuals.
This really is about getting plugged in with someone BIGGER
than US, and using a SYSTEM than is simple and proven to
effectively move our business forward.
Take a look around.
Every single leader out there has pointed or STILL IS pointing
to someone greater than themselves.
But if they don’t have a system,
that’s PROVEN and DUPLICATABLE,
then where is that going to take you?
Your Business will Tank without a Proven Duplicatable System
I was on a very important private phone call yesterday with
Michael Dlouhy, author of ‘Success in 10 Steps’ and
founder of Mentoring for Free.
He told me a story that shed some light on WHY so many
people in network marketing are having such a difficult
time finding QUALITY leads for their business.
You see, 30 years ago, Michael was approached by a man
who sold life insurance. Michael quickly saw the benefits
of building a residual income by selling life insurance but
didn’t see eye to eye with the man who wanted to
partner with him.
In order to build his business, Michael was asked to go home
and write down the names and phone numbers of EVERY single
person he had come into contact with since he was about
five years old. (sound familiar?)
Michael asked, “Why?”
He was told, “Because you’re going to contact every single one
of those people and sell them life insurance.”
Michael quickly said, “I can’t (won’t) do that.”
So the guy refused to work with Michael.
Now, some might ask WHY Michael refused to listen to his upline.
Here’s why. The answer is simple, really.
Michael knew that in order for him to succeed,
he needed a target market.
He needed to talk with people who already understood the
importance of life insurance so he could demonstrate how
he could save them money with the life insurance company
he was with.
These people already ‘got it’.
He didn’t have to talk them into anything.
He wrote one simple ad in a local newspaper and got
such an incredible response that he couldn’t keep up
with the phone calls!
Apply this principle to your network marketing company.
You need quality leads that specifically want what you have.
You need to identify your target market.
Without leads, your business will tank.
Tank? Yes, you will have to shut your doors if you don’t
have a lead generating system that is proven and duplicatable.
